Auburn Gymnastics Center optional girls team finished strong in Novoto, California.


   Auburn Gymnastics Center Level 7 and 8 girls competed well at the Novato Classic meet March 7 at the Novato Gymnastics Center while the boys from Auburn traveled to San Jose for the 16th Annual San Jose Invite winning fourth place out of nine teams.

   Boys level 4 top finisher, Zeph Thomas, took fourth in the all-around out of nearly 60 boys of all ages while Bryce Dunnigan placed 7th on vault and Chas Van Middelkoop placed 9th on vault. The team competed
against nine other teams.
    The Level 5 team of Brady Turner, Rhett Miller, Joshua Hartman, Drew Strange and David Hunt took 4th out of nine teams. Individually, out of 45 competitors, David Hunt took 4th on the pommel horse and 2nd on the rings while Hartman took 3rd overall on high bar. In the younger age division against 30 competitors Brady Turner and Rhett Miller tied for fifth all-around.
    Girls Janna Woodward, Kendall Sprowl, Elizabeth Jordan and Devin VanBerkleo competed n the Level 7 junior competitor group and while Haley Christenson competed in the senior division. Woodward and Jordan placed in the top 10 on vault, bars, beam and floor as well as the all-around. Christenson placed top ten on vault, bars, floor and in the all around. VanBerkleo placed top 10 on vault while Sprowl placed in the top 10 on beam and floor. In the Level 8 competition, Alice Neff placed third on floor and fifth on beam, while Kellie Oesterling was in the top 10 on vault, bars,
floor and all around.
